- When I deleted that storage pool, my HDD showed up in disk management.

Open disk management and found the drive, but it was lited as "foreign". I was going crazy with this, but your solution worked perfectly. Right click on the drive you want, and "Change drive letter and paths" Hit "Add" then "Assign the following drive letter" to whatever letter you want.
